El Bandarra (“the rogue”) was born in our vineyards at Casa Berger. After more than 20 years of selling vermouth by the barrel for small, local wine shops, in 2014 we threw ourselves into the task of bottling our vermouth with its very own brand.

And the rest is history! 

Vermouth, just like it was back in the 50s.
El Bandarra is a nostalgic tribute to the golden age of this classic drink. Back in the 50s, Spanish bar tenders used to paint the names of their tapas on the windows of their bars. They would use different coloured letters painted by hand to catch the attention of passers-by and tempt them into the bar.

Older than Coca-Cola, the Casa Berger vineyard has been in continuous operation since 1878. We are one of the oldest vineyards in Spain, and we have been making vermouth for decades. El Bandarra is the very best blend, developed from years spent refining this tipple. It’s a hundred-year-old party that’s showing no signs of stopping anytime soon.

A smooth, appetising vermouth with a perfect bitter-sweet balance. Serve with ice and a slice of orange. And you might as well throw in a couple of olives too, because, after all, life is short.

White Grenache and Xarel-lo grapes are blended with more than 40 herbs and natural flavours, such as vanilla, wormwood or cloves. We add nectar of must to give it an extra hint of sweetness, after which we leave it to blend for two months … and voilà!

We believe that vermouth is the drink of the people. That’s why we’re trying to bring it to as many people as possible, whether that be in bottles or on tap. El Bandarra is available on tap at all good bars. Look for it, try it, and if you find a better vermouth, it’s obvious that you’ve already had one too many.

Our portable bar is designed to spread the El Bandarra spirit everywhere and anywhere. It’s a refrigerated bar on wheels equipped with everything you need to serve vermouth in style.

The El Bandarra Food Truck is a 1970s caravan fully restored and ready to serve vermouth and tapas wherever and whenever. You’ll find us at festivals, street parties, weddings, food markets and wherever a party’s on.
